Project: Podcast Launch
Get your concept on the air in 6 WEEKS!
IS Your Evernote full of IDEAS FOR YOUR FUTURE PODCAST?
Are you listening to tons of shows and reading countless blog posts as “research"?
Are you overwhelmed by all the info out there and not sure which mic to buy what or platform to choose for hosting?
Are you worried about getting the basics right?
I've been there myself, and I understand the struggle! You're passionate about this project but don't have the time or the resources to launch it quickly. And yet...
You know a podcast will help you connect with your audience on a personal level.
You know a podcast will bring new people to your business.
You know your podcast will convert followers into clients.
And if you already run a solo business or do a lot of creative work on your own, you need a partner to bounce ideas off of.
That's why I created this specific program. With my partnership, you can focus on the "doing," rather than the "planning." You can launch your podcast and run your business. You can record "Ep. 1" and upload it in a matter of weeks, not years.
Are you tired of researching and ready to start podcasting?
As a Creative Co-Director and Project Planner, I will help you launch a podcast that stays true to your vision and your brand.
I'll lead you through a brainstorming process and be your right hand in getting ideas out of your head and actually onto iTunes.
I'll wrangle your ideas and come up with an action plan that's tailored to your creative vision.
I'll do the technical research and create a timeline that helps you stay on track.
Interested in working together?
Submit this no-obligation application, and I’ll get back to you within 1-3 business days.
If I think we’re a good fit, I’ll send along a detailed questionnaire, as well as an invoice and a link to my calendar to schedule your sessions. Together, we can find a way to work "Project: Podcast Launch" into your busy schedule!
How "Project: Podcast Launch" workS
Two 60-minute Sessions (via Skype, Zoom, or phone) + 6 Weeks of Q&A (via Google Doc):
Session I: Creative Direction
You'll fill out a detailed questionnaire, submit an invoice, and schedule a time for Session I.
During the Creative Direction Session, we’ll make real-time decisions about style, content, and format. I’ll come prepared with an outline of your ideas, as well as my own recommendations and questions for you.
After Session I, I’ll research on my own and email you the following week with a detailed custom action plan. We’ll schedule a 60-minute call for the Project Management Session.
Session II: Project Management
During the follow-up call, I'll listen to your concerns and make any necessary changes to the plan. This blueprint will include notes from Session I, a timeline, music suggestions, artwork specs, and recommendations for podcasting equipment and software.
In real-time, I'll finalize the plan and hand it off for you to implement. The goal is to have you ready to launch your first podcast episode 6 weeks after the Project Management Session.
Starting from when we finish Session II, you'll have 6 weeks to ask me as many follow-up questions as you’d like. Until those 6 weeks are up, you’ll have access to a Google doc where you can bring up any challenges or questions in real-time.
I’ll help you stay on track by checking up on you via the Google doc!
And guess what?
The entire package starts at $200.
Still not sure if this is for you?
Well, you’re in the right place if…
...you keep bumping your podcast to the bottom of your to-do list.
...you want to dive in and launch your show this quarter.
...you’re not interested in going through thousands of music options to find what you need.
...you value your time and don’t want to spend so much of it on learning how to set things up.
...you're a quality snob (in a good way) and don’t want to launch a show beneath your expectations.
...you need someone whose left brains and right brains play well together.
...you want one-on-one attention and support.
By signing up for "Project: Podcast Launch," you'll be given an actionable plan on how to prepare for your new show. I'll break down the process for you step by step and tailor the plan to your vision, your time constraints, and your budget. You'll be able to save entire weekends scouring the web for music, brainstorming a title, and figuring out the aesthetic. You'll know what equipment to buy, what your podcast will be about, and how to get it all started.
That being said, I can only provide you with creative guidance and logistical support (see FAQ). It's up to you to commit to the process and implement the steps that I lay out for you. While your podcast may not happen overnight, it can be done if you set aside a few hours every week. And best of all, you don’t have to do it alone! I lay the groundwork for your podcast, and you decide how to take it from there.
This program is not for you if…
...you are not familiar with social media and/or technology.
...you are not willing to commit to the process.
...you want someone to create your content for you.
...you are looking for someone to co-host your podcast.
...you need someone to assist you post-podcast-launch.
...you want someone to manage your show from soup to nuts.
Remember, this is your podcast! You make the final creative decisions. You are in control of what you want your podcast to look, sound, and feel like. I am here to assist you so that the podcast reflects your vision.
How much time will I need to devote to this project per week?
Over the two months we work together, you'll be spending two hours with me and giving yourself six weeks of milestones to be ready to launch your show. Apart from our calls, you should set aside a minimum of 2-3 hours per week. The number will obviously vary depending on the format of your show. Since I suggest having at least two episodes in the can before the program's end, you'll have to factor in the time it takes to prep, record, and edit your podcast.
How much money will I have to spend outside of the program?
Be prepared to spend a minimum of $80 upfront for your theme music, equipment, and Libsyn subscription. My recommended tools and initial costs come to about $115. If you have a bigger budget and want more professional equipment, I'll make sure to get you a list of upgraded resources.
Is "Project: Podcast Launch" refundable?
Due to the nature of this service, I do not offer refunds or cancellations. Please read this page carefully before deciding to make your purchase. Feel free to send me questions at email@example.com.
Can I really launch my podcast in 6 weeks?
While I can’t guarantee your part, I do lay out milestones in a timeline for you to be able to upload your first episode (or first few episodes) in 6 weeks. I can assist you if you have at least 2 hours to devote to the podcast per week. The best results come from you! So if you’re ready to put in the work and launch the podcast, I'm happy to help you get there.
What will I need to do on my end?
Please note that you'll have to record the episodes, upload them, write scripts etc. I’m here to simplify the process by solidifying your creative vision, doing the technical research, and giving you a plan to follow.
Will you design the cover art?
I will brainstorm visuals with you, research artwork specs, and provide you with one basic cover sample that you can use for inspiration or for your actual podcast. Since my focus in this offering is project management, I choose not to offer design services. However, I will show you where to create or commission your cover art.
Will you be editing the audio?
I'll help you with any questions that come up while you edit and record your episode(s). I will make appropriate recommendations for audio editing software, but I will not edit the episodes for you.
What about trademarks and copyrights?
In terms of title music, I am more than happy to source royalty-free songs for your podcast. I do not offer legal advice, but I will help you find necessary information.
Do you handle marketing?
I do not create your marketing plan (e.g. sponsorships, monetization, social media strategy, guest outreach), but I can provide you with resources and guidelines.

WHY WORK WITH ME?
Creative professionals wear multiple hats and run businesses that, simply put, kick ass. They're smart, talented, and excited about life! But creatives tend to have more than one project sitting on the back-burner. They'll often say things like, "I'll get to that later," or "I don't have the bandwidth for another project."
Fortunately, that's where I come in! Having launched Dear Creators, I understand the process and technicalities of starting a podcast and making sure it reflects my business and my brand. With a little assistance, you can save a ton of time and launch your own too. If you want a podcast that aligns with your business or profession, I can walk you through the vision and the planning.
My name is Gawoon Chung, and I'm a Creative Project Planner for business owners like you. I help creative professionals launch successful podcasts and other projects that they need help getting off the ground.
As a natural productivity nerd with work experience in media and entertainment, I am wired to ideate and operate from a storyteller's perspective. My best ideas, of course, are the ones that have come to life—the projects I've developed through a clear vision and a step-by-step plan. I'm proud to say I've completed a variety of projects in the past year alone, including an active blog and the launch of an online clothing shop.
That said, I've built this very business on the belief that everyone has brilliant ideas just waiting to be acted upon. Everyone has a story to tell, and I want to help get your message out into the world. My goal is to equip clients with the tools they need to plan and launch their detailed projects. Furthermore, I approach my work with the intention of making a genuine connection with my clients and to empower them to share their stories.
