As an avid podcast listener yourself, you’re familiar with the platform as an intimate and engaging way to grow a loyal fanbase or following. You may have even heard that listenership is skyrocketing every year…

But here’s exactly how much the podcast has made its way into the mainstream:

• According to Podcast Insights, “51% of the US population has listened to a podcast” and “80% of podcast listeners listen to all or most of each podcast episode.”

• According to Buzzsprout, podcasting awareness has grown exponentially since 2006 when only “22% of consumers knew what a podcast was.” “By 2019, over 64% of consumers were aware of podcasting.”

• And "By 2022, it’s estimated that podcast listening will grow to 132 million people in the United States.”

It’s safe to say that now is as good a time as any to start a successful podcast.

A lot of people will tell you that the market is “oversaturated” (and sure, that may arguably be true), but it’s the only medium where your content can go head to head with that of celebrities and influencers—even if you don’t have an existing following/no one knows who you are.

The podcast market is only getting bigger, and it’s not showing any signs of stopping.

Due to the structured but self-paced format of this course, you'll be able to spend less time scouring the web for music, brainstorming a title, and figuring out the aesthetic. You'll figure out what equipment to buy, what your podcast will be about, and how to get it all started within 8 weeks.

That being said, I can only provide you with creative guidance and logistical support (see FAQs below). It's up to YOU to commit to the process and implement the steps that I lay out for you in this course. While your podcast may not happen overnight, it can be done if you set aside a few hours every week. And best of all, you don’t have to do it alone!

• What exactly is included in Project: Podcast Launch?

  • The course consists of video tutorials/lessons, a custom action plan (worksheets + instructions), and relevant resource recommendations (for equipment, creative assets, & more). You’ll also get free course updates and lifetime access!

• How much time will I need to devote to this course per week?

  • Over the next 8 weeks, get ready to set aside at least 3-4 hours per week to your podcast if you want to launch within this time frame. Please note, the number of hours will vary and depend on the format of your show. Because I suggest having at least two episodes ready to go before submitting your podcast to iTunes (and other directories), you'll have to factor in the time it takes to prep, record, and edit your specific podcast.

• How much money will I have to spend outside of the course?

  • Prepare to spend a minimum of $80 upfront for your theme music, equipment, and hosting subscription (should you choose a standard plan). My recommended tools and initial costs come to about $115. If you have a bigger budget and want more professional equipment, the cost may come out to be more.

• Is Project: Podcast Launch refundable?

• How do I purchase the course?

  • The "enroll" buttons on this page will take you to the official course page on teachable.com. Project: Podcast Launch is hosted on the Teachable platform. This means that when you purchase, you will be require you to sign in or sign up for a free Teachable account if you do not have one already!

• Can I really launch my podcast in 8 weeks?

  • Yes! While I can’t guarantee your part, I do lay out milestones in a timeline for you to be able to upload your first episode (or first few episodes) in 8 weeks. The best results come from you! So if you’re ready to put in the work and launch the podcast, this course is perfect for you.

• What will I need to do on my end?

  • The course comes with worksheets, tutorials, and instructions. However, you will have to record the episodes, upload/publish episodes, plan out content, etc. I’m here to simplify the process for you so that you know where to begin. Use this course as a guide for solidifying your ideas and setting up your podcast.

• Do you cover marketing strategy and post-launch support?

  • No, this course does NOT cover how to market your podcast (e.g. sponsorships, monetization, social media strategy). However, a bonus module may be added in the future to provide helpful resources and guidelines to get started.
